OCTOBER 2007

Threatening Devices has been released.

A couple of unreleased tracks will be released via mp3 on
http://brokendolls.org and on Trinity magazine sampler Ruines & Vanités.

A Sparrow-grass Hunt is prepararing their second album Enclaves,
which concepts is the moods in 7 different Paris' public gardens.
Release date is expected sometime in 2008...




FEBRUARY 2007

FEBRUARY 2006

Friesengeist Pi - Ascendances will be released on May 2006.
This is the last album of the very apprecied Friesengeist trilogy.

NLC will contribute with an unreleased track to John Balance / Coil tribute called Coilectif.
This compilation will feature all the alternative French scene.

Another compilation will be released soon together the book
Limites De L'Inaudible, foreseen for September 2006.

Finally, NLC are featured on the big book (350 pages!) Les Carnets Noirs Acte 2,
that describes all the indipentent French scenes from the beginning to today.
The book features NLC in one full page, along with an exclusive photo.




NOVEMBER 2005

Friesengeist 2 - Regelmässige Zestörungen has been released.




SEPTEMBER 2005

After almost one year of work, the new album
Friesengeist Part 2 - Regelmässige Zestörungen is finished.
It will be released by the end of October 2005.

Meanwhile the recordings of Friesengeist Pi - Ascendances
(working title), the third chapter of this saga, are going well,
even if this album won't be out before spring 2006.

A Sparrow-grass Hunt is also preparing new material that
soon will concretize in some albums.




NOVEMBER 2004

Friesengeist Part 1 has been released.

The new NLC album, available from EDT official site,
will be soon sided by Friesengeist Part 2, available in 2005.




MAY 2004

Le Journal Du Dormeur has been released.

The band is now reachable at its official website http://www.sparrow.fr.fm/.

About the new NLC album, Friesengeist 1, it will be
beginning of a new experimental saga.
Featuring lots of guests and very strange atmospehere.
Out in September 2004.




MARCH 2004

Le Journal Du Dormeur will be released by the brand-new
band A Sparrow-grass Hunt.

Featuring Julien Ash together with Hide & Seek
members Liesbeth Houdijk (already involved in the
last NLC works) and Pierre-Yves Lebeau, this band
is a stand-alone entity that soon will have its own
web-site and career (contact available at sparrow.grass@free.fr).

Moreover, a new NLC album is in preparation.
Called Friesengeist, it will celebrate the first 15 years
of career. It could be released also in a low-cost double CD edition.
It could also include the tracks initially scheduled for Lecanora collaboration,
as Lecanora stopped to play music so no collaborative CD will
be released anymore.

Instead, notwithstanding the long-waited collaboration with Frédéric
Truong (ex Leitmøtiv)
is still a project, the two musicians will collaborate for
a Kraftwerk cover, to be released on the next Truong's album.



JANUARY 2004

After hard session of work, Le Journal Du Dormeur (collaborative
album with Hide & Seek) is close to be released.
News soon!



AUGUST 2003

Various private releases were out:

The Catania Experiment, a double CD-R collection of previously
unreleased material, collected during all the NLC career;

Dérivations, a CD-R re-release of the first NLC demo-tape;

Scissions, a CD-R re-release of the second NLC demo-tape.

Released in very limited and private editions only, they could become
available in the next future.

Concerning new releases, Le Journal Du Dormeur with Hide & Seek
should be released around beginning of 2004, as well as the collaborative
CD
with Frédéric Truong (ex Leitmøtiv).



MAY 2003

Last months has been full of work for Julien Ash but finally various releases
are scheduled:

The Book Of Laments has been available since March 2003, but now
it's ready to be shipped.

The collaborative CD with Frédéric Truong (ex Leitmøtiv) should be
released within 2003.

Recording for a new collaboration has already begun, this time with French
band Hide & Seek.
The album is called Le Journal Du Dormeur and it is scheduled for 2004.
As many already noticed, this is not the first collaboration between the
two bands because the singer Liesbeth Houdijk sung in recent NLC albums.

Of course, the "dark" album with band Lecanora is in progress too and it
should be finished soon...

Last but not least, another collaboration in form of remix was done for
German band Unter Den Linden, for their forthcoming remix album.

Finally, two other important news:

On April the 30th 2004 an NLC remix compilation should be released
by... EMI Records! This is a great goal for NLC!

On the EDT official site (where you can find all the in-print records)
appeared a mysterious CD called The Catania Experiment, a
limited edition of 2 (TWO!) copies... More info to come...



FEBRUARY 2003

L'Armée De Marbre was finally released,
while The Book Of Laments will be released on May 2003.



DECEMBER 2002

L'Armée De Marbre will be released on January 2003.

Projects with other bands seem to be concrete, more details once available.



NOVEMBER 2002

Seabirds is released on 18th November 2002.

A lot of new projects are in working, more info soon!



SEPTEMBER 2002

Seabirds will be released on late October 2002.
It will be followed by L'Armée De Marbre, scheduled for January 2003.
Finally, The Book Of Laments will see the light on June 2003.

Meanwhile Gazuline compilation was released, soon details in discography!



AUGUST 2002

Finally lots of new compilations were/will be released.
The most important is together with September number of D-Side magazine.
There will be a brand new interview!! Other compilations are Songs For Landeric
(already sold-out!), Gazuline compilation (to be released in Autumn 2002) and
Instants Divers Vol. 1 in December 2002.

Meanwhile the Lecanora collaboration promises to be very disturbing! More
details soon...



JULY 2002

New unexpected releases!!! For the end of 2002 the album The Book Of
Laments
will be out, anticiped by the new MCD Seabirds, that will feature
one track from the album, three remixes from the same album and two
unreleased tracks.

The great new is that the new CD single will be available on this site for
preview listening!!!!




JUNE 2002

Les Grands Saules was released.

Finally, also the brand-new compilations were released, Mondisk (with about
18 minutes of unreleased tracks!) and Nonexistence from I.E.M. magazine.

Concerning new records, a collaborative CD with band Lecanora will be
released for the end of 2002. About 30 minutes are already completed.
Music will be very meditative and mystic, full of acoustic sounds.

Moreover, a new CD single is in preparation. It could be featured here as
preview, so stay tuned!!!



APRIL 2002

The new site of EDT is online!!! And it's just fantastic!!!

In 2003, Julien Ash will work with Frédéric Truong of Leitmotiv in order
to release a collaborative CD, that signs their 10-years musical and friend
relationship.



FEBRUARY 2002

The always prolific Julien Ash is finishing his new album, called Les Grands Saules.
It's described like a soundtrack for a movie, and it is based on a particular script,
that you can read here (French only). It should be released around May 2002.

Another release is scheduled for 2002: L'Armée De Marbre, described as La
Carpe Miroir 4
! Expect experimental, mystic, esoteric music...

Some new compilations with unreleased material will see the light too.
The most interesting is a double CD compilation by Monitor Records, a Hong
Kong label. It will feature six unreleased tracks, indexed as an unique track called
Atavistic Ceremony Part 1 To 6.
The second project is the IEM compilation, that will contain an unreleased remix
of Atrix, from The Link Cutters.
Finally the long-time announced Gazuline compilation is delayed due artwork
problems.

Another good news regards the official site of EDT: it will be completely renewed
in March 2002, so stay tuned!

Finally, the new Leitmotiv album, called Parc Sainte-Marie is finished.
Though some promo copies circulated since January, the official release date
on FTR / EDT is March the 17th 2002.
Apart various contribution, it includes the amazing remix by Julien Ash called
Sordide Sentimental III.



AUGUST 2001

The Link Cutters will be released on September the 10th 2001.
It will have 10 tracks, several of them will be very long pieces.
Some samples can be heard at EDT official site.



JULY 2001

The Link Cutters was mastered. Rich of long pieces, it will be a sure masterpiece.

Anyway, the recording of the follower of The Link Cutters started too!
It's described like a soundtrack for movie, and maybe it will see the collaboration
with Olga Zimovets, already involved in Angels Of Oïkema.

The Leitmotiv remix, called "Sordide Sentimental 3", was done.
Now Julien Ash and Frédéric Truong will work together on guitar parts for the
next album.

Meanwhile, EDT started to distribuite not NLC-related bands works.



JUNE 2001

The last production EDT was just released. The album is called Retromobilis,
credited to Zama. Behind this project there is Franck Schweitzer, who already
played percussions on Moon.

EDT site will change soon with Flash technology. Moreover other mp3s
from recent releases are already available.
Also, actually EDT is selling at cheap prices a lot of second-hand items. To
ask for list, please mail directly to Julien Ash.

Finally, Julien Ash will remix the track "Sordide Sentimental" that will appear
on the new Leitmotiv album called Park St Marie, scheduled for beginning 2002.



MAY 2001

A World Of Illusions / Revocation 1989-2001 was released on 15th May 2001.

The Link Cutters should be released around October 2001. It will contain
longer pieces than Moon ones. A remix version is available on the double
retrospective
.

Furthermore, EDT signed a deal with http://www.francemp3.com:
now you can search for "nlc" or click on "techno/dance" and then "ambient"
to find the entire Clean and Oïkema albums available for realaudio listening.



APRIL 2001

The Link Cutters is the name of the new album actually in preparation.
The most of recordings is already finished and all the tracks are 36 track
digitally recorded.
They present a lot of guitars, bass, synth and many inspirations. Two long
tracks are already known: the title-track and Atrixia's Cave. The release
date should be around Autumn of this year.

Speaking about more recent projects, the artwork of the retrospective
A World Of Illusions / Revocation 1989-2001 will be completely
changed and an 8-pages booklet will come with the CDs.

The Antica project maybe will change its monicker in Zama. The recordings
are pratically ended but the artwork is still at the beginning.



MARCH 2001

First information about A World Of Illusions / Revocation 1989-2001
are available in discography, including full track-list.



FEBRUARY 2001

The new album will be called A World Of Illusions / Revocation 1989-2001.
Projected for May 2001, it will be a digipak double CD. First CD will contain
the best NLC tracks as well as remixes, while second CD will contain rare
and new tracks.



JANUARY 2001

EDT will produce a CD by Antica, a ethnic music project by Franck
Schweitzer, already performer in Moon.



DECEMBER 2000

The next album will see the light on Autumn 2001. In this time Julien Ash's
working about it.

It is also projected a double retrospective compilation, with about 1 hour
of unreleased/remixed material.

Besides, Julien Ash will work with Frédéric Truong of Leitmotiv in January
2001 for his new album. He will play and remix two tracks.

The very limited box-set La Carpe Miroir was out regularly.



NOVEMBER 2000

La Carpe Miroir is out around the end of this month.

Various projects from EDT should see the light in 2001. Better info to come.



OCTOBER 2000

The re-release of Le Lieu Noir saga will be called La Carpe Miroir.
Actually Julien Ash is mixing the third and last CD-R. The unreleased tracks
will be about 20 minutes.

The compilation however was delayed due time problems.

Other news about compilation appearances. Projected soon partecipations on:
- Instants Inquiets 2 by Euterpe Diffusion, with the track "Purple Orchids";
- Non-Existence (Russian industrial compilation) with an unreleased track;
- Gazuline by Gazul (label sampler) with a previously released track;
- Margen magazine with an unreleased track.



SEPTEMBER 2000

The announced re-release of Le Lieu Noir series will be out for the end of 2000.
It will be a set of 3 CD-R and it will contain also some unreleased tracks, even
if two songs from the original series will be cut off because already re-released
elsewhere. The omitted tracks should be Abécédaire and 55.

The murmured collection of unreleased works seems to be reality. It should be
released on CD-R too, and it should cover the range from 1992 to 1994
(probably the most prolific for the band).

Last but not least, it's projected also a retrospective compilation.



AUGUST 2000

Moon will be almost surely out on August the 14th.



JULY 2000

Moon artwork is completed. CD will be manufactured within the begin of August.

For the end of this year the Le Lieu Noir reissue on CD-R seems to be reality and
a collection of unreleased songs could be released too.

The working of the Moon follower is also already started!



MAY 2000

Definited by Julien Ash himself "a kind of pop album, with lots of musicians",
MOON has a release date, projected for September.
A maybe temporary cover is featured in discography (only 16 colors, sorry)
and in the official EDT web-site is even present a brand new extract from
this album, encoded in MP3 format, mono at 56kbps. The track is called
ANAPURNA OBS. 1 and it takes about 1,35 Mb for 3.23 minutes. It's
also available here.



APRIL 2000

Moon is completed at 75%. Artwork is not begun, however. Reasonably
release-date could be next three-four months, but there is still nothing
certain.

Leitmøtiv's Suspended Moment was finally out.



MARCH 2000

On March the 24th Leitmøtiv's Suspended Moment will be released.



FEBRUARY 2000

As projected, Oïkema CD and Hiding In Time CD-R are out.

There is nothing of definitive yet, but it's murmured the re-release of Le
Lieu Noir
on CD-R for the end of 2000.



JANUARY 2000

On January the 10th Oïkema CD (union of Part 1 and Part 3) and Hiding
In Time
CD-R will be out. Oïkema CD has been re-recorded and it should
features two unreleased bonus-tracks, even if the track Entering The House
Of Oïkema (from Part 1) will be omitted.

Leitmøtiv's Suspended Moment compilation release date is posticiped to
March, to improve the artwork.

Moon could be out in March too.



DECEMBER 1999

Hiding In Time will contain the 30 minutes track from Kriegstraum, the
complete version of "Apparition Hertzienne Du Spectre De Peau D'Âne"
(originally published in two separate tracks on Unclean), "Daäth" from
1654 The Cave -I- compilation and the first version of "La Faute" (later
published on Clean). Total running time should be about 53 minutes.

Leitmøtiv's Suspended Moment compilation is now finished.



NOVEMBER 1999

The new Unis CD and Fragments Taöistes CD-R are out. Soon available in
discography the details (check site news soon).

Half of the new album is composed, and in these days Julien Ash is working
on second half. The title should be "Moon".

In January are projected the re-release of Part 1 and Part 3 of Oïkema trilogy
on CD and a CD-R called "Hiding In Time" that should feature the songs from
Schizolithe and Kriegstraum omitted from Vestiges.

Futhermore, always in January E.D.T. will publish a compilation that features some
Leitmøtiv new tracks. The title should be "Suspended Moment".



OCTOBER 1999

Actually Julien Ash is working on the next album, which it should be out around 2000.

Contemporarly he's planning to make new re-releases of early and new works.
on CD-R and not.

On october the 25th UNIS should be out. This re-release (the original Unis is
out-of-print from long time) will have new artwork and three bonus tracks (Duo
De Décapodes from Le Cénacle tape compilation and Lifelines and A Warning
From Beyond in their original version, different from Le Sang De La Licorne ones).

Other projects are a re-release of Fragments Taöistes tape on CD-R as well as
Part 1 and Part 3 of Oïkema trilogy, most of them already re-recorded.

Not too late some unreleased works compilations could appear.
